THIS ENDING: New Album Delayed
August 18, 2008THIS ENDING — the Stockholm, Sweden-based band formerly known as THE PLAGUE (before they were forced to change their name for legal reasons) — has issued the following update:
"After a gruelling recording, mixing and mastering process during the early summer, [THIS ENDING's sophomore album] 'Dead Harvest' was finished. However, we are not entirely satisfied with the final mix and we believe it doesn't do the album justice. Rather than release something we are not 100% behind, we have chosen to take a break and go back to remix and remaster the album. The most important thing is to put out a killer album. We apologize to our fans who have been waiting for 'Dead Harvest' all this time, all we can say is that it's worth the wait! Currently the release has been pushed to somewhere around February 2009."
"Dead Harvest" was recorded at Offbeat Studio with guitarist Linus Nirbrant at the helm. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Dead Harvest", "Parasites", "Tools Of Demise" and "Deathtrade".

The band's debut album, "Inside the Machine", was released in Europe in December 2006 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Offbeat studio in Stockholm with producer Linus Nirbrant. Mastering was done by Peter in de Betou at Tailor Maid.
Formed in 2005, THIS ENDING existed in a previous incarnation as A CANOROUS QUINTET. After several years of absence from the metal scene the guys decided that the time was right for a new era. Members of the band are/have been active in the following acts: AMON AMARTH, GUIDANCE OF SIN, NIDEN DIV. 187 and SINS OF OMISSION, among others.
